Welcome to JT's Photos! As you can see, my photography spans a broad range of interests and venues. The point of photography is recording a moment in time, and by definition, many of these moments are singular, and will likely never be repeated exactly.

During the winter months, I focus on ice hockey. In this venue, photographic results are technically demanding, and challenging from the standpoint of timing and composition. For the most part, I shoot high school and college hockey atheletes performing in a sport which is in itself very demanding.

In all of our lives, competition plays a role. Sports lend structure to the competition, but never predictability with regard to the outcome. In my own life, I drove road racing cars as a young man, and I was good enough to stay in the game for over nine years. I thus have an understanding of the personal resources required to be a competitor. It doesn't matter how or where you choose to compete, but what you bring to the competitive environment on any given day does matter.
